As the Head of Firmware, you'll design, build, and oversee firmware for Base's battery systems, set technical direction, and hire the firmware team while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

The role focuses on enhancing marketing operations through experimentation, workflow automation, and lifecycle strategy to improve customer engagement and retention.

Design and implement algorithms for distributed battery fleet dispatch and grid services, integrate market operations with control loops, participate in realtime desk rotation and on-call scheduling, and implement controls for aggregated battery deployments to optimize profitability and grid performance.

Build and own Base's finance data platform: replicate ERP (NetSuite) data into a governed warehouse, create a GL reporting cube with dimensions and hierarchies, ensure reconciled correctness, enable Excel/BI/agent interfaces, partner with accounting, and extend reporting for forecasts, assets, and tax equity.

Partner across functions to structure ambiguous, high-leverage business problems (acquisitions, partnerships, market entry, financing). Build models and scoreboards, write decision-driving memos, run cross-functional programs without authority, and work directly with leadership to drive outcomes.

Own support performance by building reporting, forecasts, and tooling; forecast staffing and capacity; identify root causes of recurring issues and implement fixes; improve member-facing information; partner with Product, Engineering, and Ops to close gaps and hold the operation accountable to member-centric metrics.
