Lead structural design for autonomous surface vessels from concept through prototype and production. Create 3D CAD models and ASME-compliant 2D drawings, perform hand calculations and FEA, run design reviews, support prototyping and procurement, and produce technical reports.

Integrate, develop, and validate perception sensors (radar, LiDAR, camera, GPS) for unmanned surface vessels. Define requirements, design calibration fixtures, run analysis and testing, support manufacturing, and present design reviews while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and vendors.

Drive international business development and defense cooperation to expand Saronics maritime autonomy presence outside the U.S. Track policy and export-control developments (ITAR/EAR), shape regulatory environments, monitor market and competitor trends, develop market-entry strategies, plan and host visiting delegations, coordinate with embassies and partners, prepare executive-level briefs, and support global BD teams. Role requires up to 25% travel.

Lead and manage systems and network engineering teams to design, deploy, and operate on-prem data centers, hybrid cloud (AWS/AWS GovCloud, Azure), and global networks. Own infrastructure roadmap, capacity planning, DR/BC, compliance with DoD-aligned frameworks, vendor/budget management, and major infrastructure programs while supporting engineering workloads including HPC.

Design and validate shipyard manufacturing systems: develop building layouts, define footprints and crane coverage, model capacity and throughput, optimize material flow, support automation-first processes, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance.

Create detailed electrical schematics and harness assembly drawings using Zuken E3 and NX, collaborate with engineers, ensure compliance with industry/military standards, support harness construction and integration, manage documentation, and communicate with stakeholders.

Lead R&D, design, integration, and testing of maritime acoustic sensing systems (sonar, hydrophones, acoustic modems). Conduct benchmarking, sea trials, trade studies, analog front-end and DAQ design, signal conditioning, and documentation. Collaborate across autonomy, software, and mechanical teams; mentor junior engineers and support safety, reliability, and environmental qualification.

Deploy and integrate electromechanical payloads onto autonomous maritime platforms. Lead rapid prototyping, system bring-up, dockside and sea trials, troubleshooting power/networking/sensor/compute subsystems, and provide design-for-deployment feedback to engineering teams.
