Develop, characterise and demonstrate hardware components and subroutines for quantum error correction. Design and run experiments, bring up prototype QPU devices, develop experimental-control software and data-analysis workflows, and build system-level understanding of control electronics, cryogenics and signal delivery. Own R&D projects end-to-end, report findings, and mentor junior engineers.

Lead and grow an RF devices team to design, simulate and standardise passive RF components and scalable RF architectures for superconducting qubit processors. Drive RF simulation infrastructure, integrate RF designs with chip packaging and device physics, manage supplier relationships, and deliver simulation-as-a-service for rapid design screening.

Coordinate end-to-end deployments of quantum computing systems into commercial data centres, managing planning, installation, commissioning, validation, and go-live. Monitor live quantum cryogenic systems, triage alerts, provide first-line incident response, develop dashboards and alerting strategies, analyse incidents for root causes, collaborate to improve observability tooling, document processes, and automate operational responses to maximise uptime and reliability.

Support global deployment, commissioning and operation of quantum computing systems in commercial data centres. Develop SOPs, documentation and training, provide remote and on-site technical support, drive preventive and corrective maintenance, capture lessons learned, and collaborate with engineering and data centre partners to improve reliability, serviceability and compliance.

Develop and validate quantum control methods to improve gate fidelity and stability. Design and optimise pulse shapes, characterise gate error mechanisms, build experimental pipelines and benchmarks, define calibration requirements, evaluate devices, and transfer techniques into production software and operational workflows.

Develop low-latency, production-grade embedded software and device drivers (C/C++/Rust) with Python bindings; build automated tests and CI/CD gates; translate scientific requirements into firmware, operate hardware-in-the-loop test environments, collaborate with FPGA and compiler teams, and diagnose software on experimental quantum hardware.
