Leads OQC’s research software, logical compilation, and systems integration teams in Spain. Sets technical direction, shapes architectures, translates scientific challenges into software capabilities, and guides research tooling from experimentation to production. Builds a high-performing organization, develops technical leaders, partners with research and engineering groups, and integrates quantum computing systems with HPC environments, third-party platforms, and community tools.

Develop and maintain compiler and runtime software for quantum computers using Python, C++, LLVM, and related toolchains. Responsibilities include designing and implementing features, bringing algorithms into production, debugging complex issues, maintaining legacy code, testing, code review, and evaluating technical trade-offs. The role involves full software development lifecycle ownership, collaboration with research and engineering teams, technical communication, and mentoring.

Drive OQC’s highest-priority strategic initiatives and C-suite-sponsored programs from strategy through execution. Build integrated delivery plans, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, manage dependencies, track milestones, surface risks, and keep executives informed. The role suits a strategy consultant transitioning into industry, with responsibility for delivering business-critical outcomes and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Own HR operations across systems, employee data, payroll coordination, policies, governance, and the employee lifecycle. Administer Workable, ClickUp, CharlieHR, and HiBob; maintain audit-ready records and controls; coordinate onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and payroll; improve workflows through automation and AI-enabled solutions; manage vendors and operational projects; and support junior People Operations colleagues across a hybrid, multinational environment.

Own mechanical design packages for high-precision quantum computing components and assemblies, from requirements and concept development through CAD, structural and thermal analysis, production drawings, and manufacturing release. Collaborate with specialists, suppliers, and manufacturers to resolve integration, tolerance, and manufacturability issues. Support laboratory, workshop, fit-check, verification, and initial build activities across room-temperature and cryogenic environments.

Own engineering configuration data, Bills of Materials, hardware release records, and revision traceability. Administer Arena PLM and SolidWorks PDM workflows, facilitate engineering change processes, review technical release packages, and resolve discrepancies across CAD, PLM, PDM, and downstream systems. Improve configuration-management and release workflows while collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, laboratory, and workshop teams to ensure physical builds align with released hardware information.

Develop, characterise and demonstrate hardware components and subroutines for quantum error correction. Design and run experiments, bring up prototype QPU devices, develop experimental-control software and data-analysis workflows, and build system-level understanding of control electronics, cryogenics and signal delivery. Own R&D projects end-to-end, report findings, and mentor junior engineers.
