Design in CAD, manage releases, guide team members, coordinate suppliers, create validation plans, conduct design reviews, resolve hardware failures, and deliver components to milestones. The role requires cross-functional collaboration, hands-on shop work, manufacturing-process knowledge, and effective communication. Staff engineers may serve as subject matter experts and mentor junior engineers.
