Lead and manage the Mechanical Engineering team for the Nyx spacecraft, owning structural design, justification, verification, and test strategy. Drive structural analyses, qualification activities, test campaigns, result interpretation, and engineering reviews to ensure flight readiness and certification evidence. Act as hands-on technical lead supporting troubleshooting, risk mitigation, and program milestones.

Lead and grow a multidisciplinary propulsion design team; own propulsion system design decisions and interfaces; oversee thermal, structural, and mechanical analyses; enforce CAD, configuration control, and documentation processes; coordinate testing and AIT integration to meet qualification and program milestones.

Lead procurement for propulsion systems: develop make-or-buy strategies, run RFx campaigns, evaluate and select suppliers with engineering, negotiate and execute contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive process improvements to support production, testing and qualification schedules.

Plan, execute, and analyze engine- and component-level propulsion tests. Develop test plans, lead test operations, perform risk assessments, create procedures and reports, process test data, and collaborate with development, AIT, and external partners to iterate hardware and test campaigns.

Develop, test, and troubleshoot pump-drive inverters, control/driver boards and batteries for a cryogenic rocket engine. Improve schematics/layouts, perform lab bring-up and measurements, prepare test reports and procedures, support safety and test-bench performance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for hardware integration.

Lead maturation of the propulsion fluid system from preliminary to detailed design. Perform functional analysis, develop and validate performance models (EcosimPro, Python), run V&V and FMEA, support architecture trades, ground platform development, and verification to ensure safety, reliability, and requirements traceability.

Design, implement, tune, and validate closed-loop control functions and model-based application logic for rocket engine fluidic systems using MATLAB/Simulink. Support MIL/SIL/HIL validation, analyze test data, document designs, and collaborate with propulsion, embedded software, electronics, test, modelling, and systems teams.

Perform CFD simulations for propulsion components and thruster plumes (continuum to rarefied), identify flow issues, support design trade studies, validate models against test data, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain CFD workflows and generate technical reports for design and certification.

Create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings for propulsion components using Siemens NX; maintain BOMs, configuration control, and documentation; collaborate with thermal, structural, and manufacturing teams; ensure standards compliance, GD&T application, manufacturability checks, and continuous CAD workflow improvements.
