Leads Railpen’s Finance Operations strategy, operating model, and transformation. Responsibilities include optimizing Workday processes, driving automation and AI adoption, strengthening financial controls and operational resilience, managing banking suppliers, overseeing governance and compliance, and delivering cross-functional change. The role also involves stakeholder management, service improvement, and developing a high-performing Finance Operations team.

Leads internal audit and assurance activity across complex portfolios, focusing on strategic risks, governance, emerging issues and organizational outcomes. Advises executives, trustees and audit committees; presents clear insights, provides constructive challenge, oversees sensitive engagements, identifies root causes and coaches the audit team. The role requires strong judgment, stakeholder influence, strategic thinking and experience operating in complex organizations.

Lead end-to-end thematic compliance monitoring reviews across pensions and asset management, including planning, documentation, reporting, stakeholder engagement, risk escalation, and action follow-up. Support the broader compliance monitoring plan and ad-hoc reviews while ensuring regulatory alignment, quality, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong knowledge of UK pensions, The Pensions Regulator, FCA rules, governance, administration, and member communications.
