Conduct quantitative and qualitative economic and market research to support OSC policy and regulatory work. Design studies, collect and analyze data using relational databases and modern data platforms, apply Python/R and ML techniques, and communicate findings via reports and presentations to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Lead and support investor-protection policy and regulatory initiatives, manage committee operations and funding requests, advise on securities issues affecting retail investors, engage stakeholders, monitor developments, and provide strategic legal analysis to senior leadership.

Manage and execute procurements (with emphasis on IT), draft RFx and evaluation materials, advise stakeholders, perform supplier risk assessments, run tender evaluations and awards, maintain procurement records, support reporting, audits and continuous process improvements.

Provide accounting and securities expertise for oversight and risk analytics of investment funds and portfolio managers. Review prospectuses and filings, lead continuous disclosure reviews, contribute to policy development, interact with market participants, and manage complex regulatory projects to support investor protection and capital market confidence.

Support oversight of self-regulatory organizations and investor protection funds by reviewing financial and regulatory filings, assessing accounting and internal control matters, analyzing data and trends, researching regulatory and market issues, preparing briefing materials, liaising with stakeholders, and contributing to policy and special projects to support market integrity and investor protection.

The Senior Data Scientist will design and deliver data science solutions, lead analytics initiatives, and mentor junior colleagues while driving data-driven decision-making across the OSC.
