Summer Associates gain practical employment-law experience through legal research, case analysis, litigation support, drafting memoranda and court filings, and monitoring new legislation. They prepare summaries and articles on employment-law developments while becoming familiar with relevant laws and Firm practices. Applicants must demonstrate strong academics, excellent writing, attention to detail, and interest in employment law, and be enrolled as second-year students in an ABA-accredited law school for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Serves as an HR business partner and trusted advisor to leaders across assigned offices. Provides coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, investigations, organizational change, talent development, engagement, retention, and workforce planning. Partners with senior leaders and Talent teams to support firmwide priorities, analyze workforce trends, improve HR practices, and ensure employment-law compliance.

The Summer Associate will gain exposure to employment law, assist with legal research, case analysis, litigation, and prepare summaries related to employment law developments.

Enter and maintain new-business and engagement data in the NBI system (Intapp Open), extract relevant details from legal documents (complaints, EEOC/NLRB charges, demand letters, agreements), submit and track matter opening and maintenance requests, update engagement records, extract billing/rate info, and respond to attorney and staff inquiries while ensuring data integrity and compliance with firm/client policies.

Provides first-contact phone, email, and deskside IT support to attorneys and business professionals. Resolves application, desktop, hardware, telecom, infrastructure, and operating-system issues; documents tickets; maintains issue ownership through escalation or closure; supports system changes, imaging, projects, and service-level objectives. The role also identifies recurring issues, develops troubleshooting documentation, delivers customer service, and may provide occasional support at other offices or outside standard business hours.
