Advises executives and the Board, monitors regulatory developments, directs assessments and remediation, and partners across Legal, Privacy, Security, Audit, HR, and business functions. The role builds compliance culture and team capability, integrates regulatory requirements into operations, and delivers metrics-driven reporting on risks, program maturity, and strategic initiatives.

Leads Interac’s policy, regulatory, and advocacy agenda across Canadian payments, financial services, and digital-economy issues. Responsibilities include monitoring legislative developments, preparing executive briefings and policy submissions, engaging government and industry stakeholders, managing strategic initiatives and external advisors, advising senior leaders on sensitive issues, supporting lobbying compliance, and mentoring team members. The role requires extensive government relations or public policy experience, strong knowledge of Canadian government processes, excellent writing and stakeholder-management skills, and sound judgment.
