Accounting intern supporting the full project cost accounting cycle, including job budget setup, delivery ticket collection, purchase order verification, invoice processing, subcontractor payment compliance, accruals, inventory management, and budget or forecast variance analysis.

Administer and support Workday HCM modules, translating business requirements into functional solutions. The role manages configurations, reports, dashboards, data migration, implementations, enhancements, updates, user training, and second-level support. Build and analyze financial models for infrastructure investment opportunities, project bids, concession transactions, portfolio management, and M&A activities. Evaluate financing structures, conduct sensitivity analyses, prepare investment recommendations, and communicate findings to senior management, lenders, investors, and advisors. Prepare project memoranda, presentations, pro formas, and approval documentation while supporting multiple projects at different development stages.

Leads traffic and revenue forecasting for toll road and managed lane projects. Develops advanced models, analyzes traffic and socioeconomic data, oversees data collection and quality assurance, presents findings to executives, and supports concession reporting and strategic decisions. Mentors junior staff, coordinates with cross-functional and concession teams, and contributes to research and innovation initiatives.

Support the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence by managing AI project portfolios, tracking KPIs and business impact, preparing executive presentations, developing AI program communications, and supporting change management and training initiatives. Collaborate with project managers, data scientists, AI engineers, and business stakeholders to advance AI strategy, adoption, and scalable digital products.

Coordinates Ferrovial’s annual Internal Control over Financial Reporting program under SOX requirements. Responsibilities include defining process and application scope, maintaining flowcharts and risk-control matrices, coordinating IT general controls, managing Archer, supporting internal and external audits, monitoring remediation plans, training users, and reporting findings to the Audit Committee and Board. The role also contributes to compliance activities, audit recommendation follow-up, and internal control framework improvements.

Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes through journal entries, reconciliations, fixed asset and lease accounting, intercompany reviews, and financial reporting. Ensures compliance with US GAAP, supports audits and tax requests, maintains accounting documentation, and contributes to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also analyzes discrepancies, prepares reporting schedules, and collaborates with cross-functional teams on accounting process enhancements.
