Design, build, and operate DeepL’s Databricks-based lakehouse and ingestion infrastructure (Kafka, dlt). Enable AI-powered data workflows via connectors and integrations, implement data observability and quality frameworks, and steward infra-as-code, CI/CD, access, security, and governance to provide a reliable, scalable data platform.

Lead research and engineering to design, implement, and deploy reinforcement learning and post-training methods that align large (multi-modal) models with human intent. Build scalable RL pipelines, run reproducible experiments from prototype to production, collaborate with engineering, ML platform, and HPC teams, and foster academic and industrial partnerships.

Serve as a technical advisor for enterprise customers implementing DeepL: translate business needs into technical solutions, troubleshoot integrations, configure authentication, support deployments, enable customer teams with tools and collateral, and feed product requirements back to product teams to drive customer satisfaction and scalable implementations.

Lead global communications with a US focus: own media relationships, write press releases and bylines, define messaging frameworks, shape executive thought leadership, manage reputation and crises, secure speaking opportunities, measure coverage and sentiment, and scale comms operations across product, policy, marketing, and leadership.
