Own the end-to-end compiler architecture for Software AG’s JOPAZ product. Define how COBOL semantics map to the JVM, ensure behavioral correctness, drive JVM performance, establish optimization strategy, and guide the long-term technical roadmap. The role collaborates across product teams, including mainframe connectivity, while mentoring engineers and growing into technical and people leadership.

Own the end-to-end compiler architecture for Software AG’s JOPAZ product. Define how COBOL semantics map to the JVM, ensuring behavioral correctness and driving runtime performance. Set optimization strategy, make cross-cutting architectural decisions, maintain codebase coherence, collaborate across product and mainframe connectivity teams, and grow into technical and people leadership.

Lead the integration of generative AI, agentic AI, and AI-assisted capabilities into enterprise database, application development, data integration, and mainframe modernization products. Responsibilities include identifying use cases, defining product roadmaps, designing scalable architectures, building prototypes, collaborating with customers and technology partners, evaluating AI solutions, enabling internal teams, and providing thought leadership.

Own the end-to-end compiler architecture for Software AG’s JOPAZ product. Ensure COBOL programs compile to behaviorally equivalent JVM execution, drive JVM performance, define optimization strategy, and make cross-cutting architecture decisions. Collaborate across product teams, including mainframe connectivity, while mentoring engineers and growing into technical and people leadership. Experience with production compiler construction and JVM development is required; COBOL, z/OS, verification at scale, and formal methods are advantageous.

Leads Db2 for z/OS security for COBOL and Java applications, including RACF administration, Trusted Context implementation, security mapping, database administration, system programming, upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, and test-environment development. Collaborates with clients, developers, testers, and support teams to design secure equivalent Java-Db2 environments and simulate enterprise security configurations.
