The Planning Engineer Sr provides technical support for electric power grid operations, utilizing engineering analysis to ensure reliability and compliance with standards. Responsibilities include system modeling, contingency analyses, and developing improvements for transmission planning.

Lead multiple medium-to-high complexity IT and business projects within a PMO governance framework. Create and maintain detailed project plans, manage budgets, risks, vendors, and cross-team dependencies. Drive executive communications, stakeholder alignment, resource negotiations in a matrixed environment, ensure compliance and documentation, and support organizational readiness and PMO continuous improvement.

Perform internal audits by collecting and analyzing data to identify control weaknesses, fraud, inefficiencies, and non-compliance. Develop audit programs, test controls, identify risks, recommend process improvements, draft reports, and interact with all levels of management to support stronger controls and mitigations.

Lead design, architecture, development, governance, and administration of SharePoint Online, Project Online, Microsoft 365 collaboration, and Power Platform solutions. Build secure, scalable SPFx and Power Platform apps, modernize legacy sites, create governance and SDLC practices, integrate with Azure/APIs, automate administration with PowerShell, and provide senior-level troubleshooting, documentation, training, and stakeholder partnerships in a regulated energy environment.

Serve as the senior technical authority for ERCOT's ERP product suite (Workday, Cornerstone, etc.), leading cross-module architecture, integrations, reporting/analytics, security and audit compliance. Drive release/change management, production support, vendor escalations, and mentor junior analysts while partnering with HR/Finance stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain ERP solutions.

Perform steady-state and dynamic contingency analyses using PSSE/TSAT/VSAT, assess system stability, develop simulation automation tools (Python), validate dynamic models (including inverter-based resources), produce reports, lead studies, mentor engineers, and support transmission planning and NERC compliance.

The GMS Application Engineer supports the Markets Management Systems, involved in design, development, testing, and operational support for market applications.

Provide paralegal support to corporate governance and regulatory attorneys: prepare pleadings and filings, manage PUC filings and ADR case administration, support Board and committee materials and meetings, administer membership processes, perform factual/legal research, manage case files and eDiscovery reviews, and coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel.
