The Senior Backend Engineer will optimize and build systems for the Inference Platform, focusing on low-latency, scalability, and performance for generative AI models. Responsibilities include enhancing request routing, developing auto-scaling systems, and collaborating with ML researchers to implement new model architectures in production.

Own international cloud compute sourcing, supplier relationships, contracts, renewals, and RFPs. Build global GPU cloud pricing intelligence, negotiate commercial terms, manage vendor performance, and reduce total cost of ownership. Partner with infrastructure engineering, finance, and GTM to secure international capacity while addressing supply, regulatory, data residency, currency, tax, and infrastructure risks.

Own cost forecasting and budget-versus-actual for data center build-outs, maintain dollars-per-GPU-hour unit costs, evaluate site economics and TCO, translate hardware timelines into cash forecasts, and build dashboards to report committed capital, spend-to-date, and forecast-to-complete.

Lead and improve the end-to-end qualification process for new compute capacity, running parallel provider evaluations across compute, networking, storage, power, cooling, and operations. Coordinate engineering teams, review specs and test data, perform first-pass analyses, and deliver clear go/no-go recommendations and auditable evaluation records to inform sourcing decisions.

The Senior Technical Recruiter will lead the recruitment of AI researchers and engineers, working with leadership to define hiring strategies, enhance candidate experiences, and improve recruiting processes.

Own day-to-day product work across AI infrastructure (GPU clusters, managed storage, observability). Identify and drive resolution of hidden problems, run hypothesis-driven experiments, instrument data collection, and partner with engineering and cross-functional teams. Ramp to full ownership of an area (observability or storage) within months.

Own and maintain the end-to-end revenue forecast and model, analyze performance and variance drivers, build repeatable forecasting processes and dashboards, partner with GTM/Product/Engineering to identify revenue levers, and support long-range financial planning and strategic initiatives.

Lead and build the technical accounting function: set U.S. GAAP policies (ASC 606, 842, 360, 470/835, 805, 718, 505, 808), advise on complex transactions, manage investor reporting and annual audits, establish SOX/internal controls readiness, and drive scalable processes, close support, and cross-functional accounting partnerships in a high-growth AI infrastructure environment.

Design and implement manifest-driven provisioning and reconciliation systems for GPU hosts and clusters. Build durable workflow engines, declarative self-service APIs, event-driven automation, self-healing pipelines, and production-grade control planes. Own coding, testing, CI/CD, and operate the platform in production to eliminate manual provisioning.
