Manage a portfolio of TPD and IP life insurance claims end-to-end, assess and finalise payments, engage medical/legal specialists and third-party providers, and deliver high-quality customer and client communication throughout the claims process.

Provides technical advice, assessment guidance, authorization, and quality review for life insurance claims. Coaches Claims Consultants, reviews delegated and adverse decisions, supports case conferences and reporting, and helps improve claims capability and outcomes. Ensures compliance with life insurance regulations, privacy requirements, legislation, and industry standards while contributing to governance and quality assurance.

Manage a portfolio of TPD and life insurance claims, assess entitlements within delegated authority, liaise with stakeholders, provide empathetic customer communications, instruct third-party providers, and coach teammates to improve case outcomes.

Lead the end-to-end PAYG withholding program for claims and investments. Own PAYG rules, rates and calculation logic, oversee system configuration and controls, ensure timely ATO reporting, translate legislation into operational solutions, partner with Tax and senior stakeholders, and implement continuous improvements to reduce risk and enhance compliance.

Lead pricing analytics and actuarial model development to inform pricing strategy and commercial decisions. Analyze complex customer and business data, drive automation and analytical improvements, partner with stakeholders to influence outcomes, and coach team members to uplift capability.

Provide legal advice and support across Claims, Underwriting, Risk & Compliance; manage litigated matters, AFCA disputes and external complaints; deliver training; review product documentation and commercial agreements; partner with internal teams and external counsel to manage risk and regulatory matters.

Lead design and delivery of training programs for contact centre and sales teams, identify capability gaps, enable adoption of new processes and technology, use data to drive improvement, ensure compliance and training governance, and partner with stakeholders through change.

Assess life insurance claims by reviewing policies and medical, vocational and financial documentation; determine eligibility, apply professional judgement, communicate outcomes, partner with customers and stakeholders, and provide benefit payments and support.

As a Claims Technical Specialist, you will provide technical guidance across various claims, coach Claims Consultants, and ensure quality outcomes while adhering to compliance standards.

Design and maintain claims knowledge artifacts, forms and communications aligned to regulation; translate regulatory and business change into usable guidance; lead initiatives to strengthen compliance, reduce risk and improve customer claims experiences; provide authoritative claims policy expertise and monitor industry developments.
