The Assurance Associate prepares financial statements and disclosures, applies GAAP and GAAS, evaluates internal controls, performs audit testing, documents workpapers, researches accounting topics, and supports reviews and agreed-upon procedures. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, CPA exam eligibility, Microsoft Office proficiency, and willingness to travel as needed. Uses tax research databases and tax software to prepare advice, reporting, and analyses involving international tax rules, foreign tax credits, reorganizations, and ASC 740-10. Coordinates with international colleagues, monitors tax law developments, gathers client information, and supports work plans under the direction of experienced professionals.

Supports consulting engagements focused on enterprise risk and resilience, including business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, third-party risk, and insurance. Assists with client research, documentation review, requirements gathering, risk analysis, presentations, workshops, metrics, proposals, and client work products while tracking progress and collaborating with engagement teams.

Prepares simple tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimates, tax accrual components, and responses to IRS notices under supervision. Conducts tax research, monitors tax law developments, assists with tax consulting and compliance activities, and maintains organized workpapers. Collaborates with client service teams while pursuing accounting education and CPA eligibility.
