BDO Business Incentives Group summer intern will support client engagements to identify and document government tax incentives (e.g., R&D credits), perform research, collaborate across teams, assist business development, and develop technical and professional skills in a client-service environment.

Support transfer pricing engagements by gathering client information, conducting financial and industry analyses, benchmarking intercompany transactions, preparing reports and presentations, writing technical memos, proofreading deliverables, and assisting client communications to ensure compliance with domestic and foreign tax regulations.

Assist audit teams through on-the-job training: learn GAAP/GAAS and BDO audit methodology, prepare and document working papers, support client communications, complete an accounting/audit research project, and contribute to team tasks while receiving coaching and feedback.

Support client engagements to identify and document government tax incentives and sustainability credits. Collaborate across teams to research, document, and defend incentives, participate in business development, and develop technical and client advisory skills through project work and mentorship.

Assist audit teams with GAAP/GAAS-based audit procedures, document workpapers using BDO tools, communicate with clients and third parties, complete an accounting research project, and participate in on-the-job training.

Prepare financial statements with disclosures, apply GAAP/GAAS, document and test internal controls, complete BDO workpapers, perform basic accounting research, and support audit and agreed-upon procedure engagements. Travel as needed.

The Tax Intern will assist in tax research, compliance, and consulting on international tax issues, using relevant software and tools.

The Tax Intern will assist in researching state and local tax issues, preparing tax returns, and collaborating with experienced tax professionals, while gaining hands-on experience in tax compliance and consulting.

20-week rotational tax internship across core, private client, and specialty tax services. Assist with tax planning, compliance, software-supported return preparation, research, client presentations, and tax specialization projects while gaining leadership exposure.
