Supervise key online services under the UK Online Safety Act 2023. Build relationships with technology companies, assess user protections and compliance, develop supervision strategies, conduct research and analysis, produce briefings and reports, coordinate Ofcom stakeholders, oversee colleagues, and drive compliance programmes using prioritisation and OKRs.

Develops evidence-based technology policy for online safety regulation, including policy consultations, codes of practice, discussion papers, and regulatory compliance measures. The role analyzes emerging technologies, communicates policy recommendations, leads cross-functional workstreams, manages tasks, and builds relationships with stakeholders across academia, industry, government, civil society, and regulation.

Provides first-line administrative and diary support to three directors, including scheduling, meeting coordination, travel and accommodation booking, expenses, timesheets, document preparation, recruitment administration, event organization, and meeting secretariat duties. The role requires proactive prioritization, confidentiality, strong written communication, stakeholder coordination, accurate record-keeping, and flexibility to manage deadlines and ad hoc work.

Serve as the strategic People Partner for one or two Ofcom groups, advising senior leaders and delivering people strategies. Lead organisation design, People Plans, workforce planning, talent and succession programmes, pay review, performance management, engagement initiatives, and organisational change. Coach and challenge directors, manage stakeholders, identify organisational barriers and risks, and collaborate with Centres of Expertise to improve people processes and business readiness.

Provides expert employee relations support across investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy, appeals, litigation, restructuring, TUPE, and policy development. Advises and coaches leaders on employment law, manages complex cases, partners with unions and internal stakeholders, maintains people policies, supports change projects, and ensures accurate GDPR-compliant records and documentation.

Conduct financial analysis supporting Ofcom’s Online Safety fees regime, regulatory assessments, investigations, and enforcement activities. Review statutory accounts and financial submissions, identify risks and anomalies, develop financial models, produce revenue reporting, and present evidence-based insights. Collaborate with legal, policy, economic, technology, and enforcement teams while serving as a financial subject matter expert and improving analytical processes and quality assurance.
