As a Special Projects Manager, you will oversee fiber optic network deployment, manage teams, ensure project alignment, and engage with city officials. You will adapt to evolving business needs and lead complex projects to enhance internet services.

Lead end-to-end Greenfield (Joint Trench) program delivery for a market/region, negotiate joint trench contracts, coordinate developers/contractors/utilities, track projects in GFiber systems, and act as single point of contact for cross-functional teams until hand-off to forward build.

Oversee GFiber’s Single Family Joint Trench Greenfield construction program across a market or region, from project discovery through as-built completion. Manage developers, builders, contractors, municipalities, utilities, and internal stakeholders; coordinate conduit delivery; negotiate joint trench contracts; track project status; and serve as the cross-functional point of contact for sales, construction, engineering, and business planning teams.

Handle inbound cancellation requests from residential and small-business internet customers, using empathy, troubleshooting, negotiation, and tailored offers to retain accounts. Resolve router, extender, and fiber connectivity issues; explain home network optimization; meet save-rate and revenue-retention targets; identify churn patterns; track cancellation drivers; and collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams. The role is fully onsite in Austin and requires evening, weekend, holiday, and other non-standard schedule availability.

Develop and manage relationships with multifamily and other real estate partners to secure property access and grow the number of households eligible for GFiber service. Responsibilities include prospecting, cold calling, networking, negotiating right-of-entry agreements, maintaining a sales funnel, using CRM data for strategy and forecasting, communicating value to stakeholders, and reporting progress against sales goals.

Leads a centralized national support function for FTTH operations across construction, maintenance, drops, and in-home installation and repair. Partners with regional teams to analyze performance, establish benchmarks, improve reporting, reduce costs, and hold vendors accountable to service and quality standards. Builds and mentors a team of analysts, process engineers, and operations specialists while driving consistency and continuous improvement across markets.

Lead development, configuration, and troubleshooting of GFiber's OSS ecosystem. Build features, service layers, APIs, and integrations to improve fault/outage management, telemetry, and operator tooling. Coordinate across teams, set technical direction, and participate in cross-team troubleshooting to ensure reliability and performance.

Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable SAP SCM and PLM solutions. Manage integrations (Salesforce, 3PL, Vendor EDI), drive procurement, inventory and order-fulfillment improvements, coordinate releases/migrations, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver ERP/PLM enhancements.

Own end-to-end capital accounting for a multi-billion-dollar fiber network: ASC 360 PP&E and ASC 842 lease accounting, SAP FI-AA/PS/MM stewardship, PO-coding architecture, month-end close and external audit support, SQL/BigQuery reporting and reconciliations, cross-functional partnering, and team leadership and development.

Owner for the Hire-to-Retire HR technology landscape: configure and support Workday HCM, drive HR process optimization, lead integrations and data governance, manage system testing/deployments, provide L2/L3 support, and partner with HR, IT, Payroll, Security, and vendors on roadmap and operations.
