Manage monthly and quarterly investment accounting for a large reinsurance general account: prepare journal entries and reconciliations for GAAP and STAT, analyze investment income and fair value changes, support disclosures, onboarding of new portfolios, regulatory/BMA filings, audit support, private equity operations, continuous improvement, UAT/system enhancements, and leverage automation and AI tools to improve accounting processes.

Tasks include journal entries, GL reconciliations, GAAP and STAT disclosure support, investment income and yield analysis, controls and SOX compliance, private equity operations, onboarding new portfolios, audit support, system enhancements, UAT, automation, and leveraging AI/advanced analytics to improve accounting processes.

Prepare monthly and quarterly investment accounting and disclosures for GAAP and STAT, record journal entries, reconcile investment balances across diverse asset classes, support audits and regulatory filings, lead private equity operations, drive close-cycle improvements, participate in systems/UAT and automation initiatives, and ensure SOX/internal control compliance.

Lead day-to-day investment accounting and reporting across GAAP, STAT, Bermuda SFS, and EBS. Ensure accurate processing of investment transactions, reconciliations, valuation governance, SOX controls, and audit responses. Provide technical guidance to staff and offshore teams, investigate variances, prepare valuation committee materials, and translate results for senior leadership. Drive continuous improvement and adoption of AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to automate reconciliations, variance analysis, close activities, and reporting.
