The Data Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and maintain data tools for robot data management, supporting AI researchers and ensuring optimal data solutions across storage and compute resources.

Lead Figure's global data operations expansion, launching new data-collection sites end-to-end. Own site selection, entity and facility setup, hiring and training, partner/vendor management, SOPs and tooling. Build repeatable playbooks and dashboards tracking volume, quality, and throughput. Coordinate with engineering and product to resolve hardware/software friction, ship operational fixes, and hire and develop the expansion team.

Own end-to-end project lifecycle for data quality: define review guidelines and SOPs, run audits, manage analysts and vendors, translate ML requirements into operational guidance, and lead training, calibration, and performance reviews.

The Hands Integration Engineer will integrate robotic hand subsystems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop test plans, debug issues, and create automation tools.

Design and implement onboard perception systems (computer vision, localization, visual-motor policies, and data annotation), own end-to-end product lifecycle, deliver production-grade software, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the autonomy stack for humanoid robots.

The role involves owning the infrastructure for training and deploying RL-based control systems in humanoid robots, enhancing speed, efficiency, and collaboration among teams.
