Leads the UK Financial Reporting and Control team for regulated and non-regulated entities. Oversees legal entity reporting, board reporting, statutory and regulatory accounts, financial controls, audits, capital and liquidity analysis, and technical accounting. Develops talent, advises senior stakeholders and regulators, manages reporting changes, and drives automation and process improvements. Own and improve Aberdeen’s customer-facing identity and IDaaS platform, implementing authentication, SSO, federation, lifecycle management, and access governance. Build and support Azure cloud applications, APIs, integrations, and automation using Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD, and scripting. Troubleshoot incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, improve resilience, mentor engineers, and influence technical standards across Digital Engineering.

Define testing strategies across unit, API, integration, and end-to-end layers; design automated and exploratory tests for web and mobile applications; improve quality frameworks, CI/CD integration, performance, accessibility, security, and resilience testing; and coach engineering teams on quality practices. The role also explores AI-driven testing techniques and supports quality improvements across agile product squads.

Support and enhance Aberdeen’s Oracle ERP Finance platform across Supplier Portal, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. Configure processes, lead patching and quarterly releases, troubleshoot data, integrations, reporting, access, and scheduled-process issues, and coordinate testing, documentation, service requests, incidents, and change management with Finance, technology teams, vendors, and Oracle support.

Lead Aberdeen’s DevOps and cloud engineering strategy, focusing on Azure and AKS platforms. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code solutions, automated testing, and cloud-native systems. Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable technology. Promote automation, Agile delivery, microservices, containerization, REST API development, and AI-assisted engineering practices while driving continuous improvement.

Oversee the operational, financial, and treasury activities of infrastructure funds and SPVs. Review cash monitoring, investor activity, valuations, management accounts, and financial statements. Coordinate third-party administrators, auditors, depositaries, and advisers while partnering with internal legal, tax, risk, compliance, and investment teams. Maintain reconciliations, audit trails, documentation, and strong governance across fund operations.

Lead the strategy, discovery, development, and launch of adviser platform, investment, and advice propositions. Conduct market research, customer discovery, and user testing; collaborate across product, technology, investment, risk, and distribution teams; and communicate progress to senior stakeholders. The role balances customer needs, regulatory requirements, innovation, usability, and commercial outcomes while monitoring market trends and proposition performance.
