Conduct economic analysis and financial evaluations for major road, highway, bridge, and transport infrastructure projects in Papua New Guinea. Develop economic models, assess project costs and benefits, evaluate investment priorities and alternatives, and support feasibility studies and detailed design stages. The role requires transport economics expertise, cost-benefit analysis, economic modeling, and strong English communication skills.

Design and assess highway drainage systems, culverts, channels, stormwater networks, and cross-drainage structures. Prepare hydraulic calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications; develop erosion and sediment controls; evaluate climate-change impacts; and ensure compliance with regulations and international standards. The role supports road and highway infrastructure projects through planning, design, construction supervision, and risk management in challenging terrain.

Conduct hydrological and hydraulic studies for major road, highway, bridge, and drainage projects in Papua New Guinea. Develop models for runoff, peak flows, and design flood levels; design drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and cross-drainage systems; prepare technical documentation; and support environmental impact assessments related to water resources.

Develop and manage procurement strategies for road and highway infrastructure projects. Prepare procurement plans, tender documents, RFPs, RFQs, and bidding materials; manage prequalification, tendering, bid evaluation, contract awards, and negotiations. Maintain procurement and contract records, support risk management, and advise project stakeholders on procurement and contract administration. The role also involves contract preparation, construction contract management, performance monitoring, and reporting.

Supports traffic engineering for major highway, bridge, and road infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include traffic studies, demand forecasting, future-year projections, transportation network evaluation, traffic management strategies, signage and pavement-marking design, wayfinding systems, stakeholder coordination, and engineering input across feasibility and design phases.
