As an Outsourced Accounting Associate, you will support accounting operations for government contracting clients, focusing on accounts payable, receivable, job costing, payroll, and month-end close activities.

Lead business analysis and agile delivery for Merger Strong Start initiatives: identify growth opportunities, translate needs into user stories, manage backlogs, run working sessions, build growth plans, refine processes and dashboards, drive stakeholder alignment and adoption, and support continuous improvement across Aprio.

Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041, 1040), organize client documents, perform tax research and planning, produce supporting workpapers, use tax software (CCH Axcess, Caseware) and MS Office, meet deadlines during peak filing periods, and support continuous learning and firm events.

Support clients with tax notices, audits, and debt collections by analyzing notices, preparing responses, developing audit defense strategies, negotiating with tax authorities, conducting legal research, drafting appeals and settlement documents, and maintaining client communication while staying current on tax laws.

Perform accounts payable and bookkeeping tasks for nonprofit clients: verify deposits, enter and code invoices, reconcile banks, manage vendor records in Sage Intacct, record credit card transactions, assist with 1099s, process credit card payments, support projects and vendor communications.

Provide executive and client support to multiple partners and directors: coordinate meetings and events, manage engagement letters and client setups, assist tax and compliance tasks, generate reports and maintain records, use HubSpot and Microsoft Office, and lead process improvements and ad-hoc projects.

Support planning, execution, and logistics for virtual events and talent programs: build/moderate sessions, manage registrations and apps, handle AV/testing, coordinate communications, track projects, provide CRM Level 2 support, ensure compliance with branding/NASBA, and produce post-event reporting and analytics.

Manage inbound lead flow, qualify opportunities, draft pricing proposals, and run targeted outbound campaigns for SOC/ISO and CMMC practices. Use HubSpot and Outreach to track pipeline, collaborate with advisors and marketing, perform market research, and report campaign results to the Business Development Manager.

Support campus recruiting operations including interview scheduling, candidate communications, data entry and pipeline maintenance in Lever, expense tracking, reporting, offer letter preparation, and recruiting materials coordination to maximize onshore recruiters' time with candidates.

The Senior Tax Manager will lead tax services, develop business strategies, manage client relationships, and mentor staff while staying updated on tax laws.
