The Systems Engineer III role involves developing system-level requirements and conducting architecture trade studies for advanced space-based sensing systems, focusing on UHF-band antenna systems.

Architect, develop, and maintain an Electron-based command-and-control application for engine test systems. Design data pipelines for high-rate storage and real-time communication, integrate driver-level PLC/industrial protocols, define software architecture and CI/CD practices, troubleshoot hardware-software issues, partner with controls/avionics engineers, and mentor junior engineers.

Deploy, configure, and integrate an Electron/TypeScript/Node.js C2 application onto test stands and control hardware. Validate PLC and industrial-protocol communications, data storage, and real-time send/receive. Build and manage releases, troubleshoot software/hardware integration, and develop/execute integration tests while collaborating with controls, avionics, and test engineers.

Design, develop, and qualify valve components and assemblies for rocket engines. Lead testing, resolve non-conforming hardware, use CAD/GD&T, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedules, mentor junior engineers, and support design-to-production transitions.

The Engineer III will analyze make-buy decisions for aerospace manufacturing, collaborating with teams to assess capabilities and provide data-driven recommendations.
