The Senior Electrical Engineer will design, test, and debug navigation sensors while leading regulatory activities and qualification testing for space systems. This role demands extensive experience in complex circuit design and familiarity with PCB design and test equipment.

Design, develop, and qualify valve components and assemblies for rocket engines. Lead testing, resolve non-conforming hardware, use CAD/GD&T, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedules, mentor junior engineers, and support design-to-production transitions.

Lead and mentor a team of GNC and avionics engineers to manage flight systems through design, integration, development, and flight operations. Serve as Responsible Engineer owning technical baselines; develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs); lead and facilitate agile sprints; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration and resolve interface issues; support verification and validation activities.

Architect, develop, and maintain an Electron-based command-and-control application for engine test systems. Design data pipelines for high-rate storage and real-time communication, integrate driver-level PLC/industrial protocols, define software architecture and CI/CD practices, troubleshoot hardware-software issues, partner with controls/avionics engineers, and mentor junior engineers.

Integrate, deploy, tune, and validate control algorithms on avionics and test-stand hardware. Build and operate IHIL/HIL environments, bring up and troubleshoot valves, actuators, sensors, and real-time controllers, integrate PLCs and industrial protocols, lead test stations, correlate hardware behavior with models, resolve cross-boundary anomalies, and mentor junior engineers on IHIL integration.

Deploy, configure, and integrate an Electron/TypeScript/Node.js C2 application onto test stands and control hardware. Validate PLC and industrial-protocol communications, data storage, and real-time send/receive. Build and manage releases, troubleshoot software/hardware integration, and develop/execute integration tests while collaborating with controls, avionics, and test engineers.

Develop and validate control algorithms and control laws for rocket engine systems. Build and correlate dynamic models (fluid/valve/actuator), perform control systems analysis, support HIL and integrated tests, define control/instrumentation requirements, and lead architecture decisions while mentoring junior engineers.

The Senior Director will lead software development for optical and RF communication payload systems, overseeing architecture, team management, and ensuring software reliability for space applications.
