Develop and maintain embedded software for custom avionics hardware supporting spacecraft flight and ground testing. Responsibilities include low-level processor functions, peripheral and communication interfaces, closed-loop controls, fault detection, hardware integration, prototyping, and rigorous production code. Collaborate with avionics, GNC, propulsion, and other engineering teams while troubleshooting embedded systems using hardware and source-level debugging tools.

Lead vehicle assembly and integration from build start to launch readiness. Coordinate across structures, propulsion, avionics, software, firmware, and test teams; develop and execute system-level tests; drive integration, test readiness, anomaly resolution, configuration control, schedule management, and design feedback.

Own all aspects of the Deneb propulsion system from concept to product realization: design engine components and layouts, create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings, perform fluid/thermal/structural analysis, coordinate procurement/fabrication/assembly, and resolve technical issues to enable flight hardware.

Ensures quality of mission-critical flight and ground software by defining development and test plans, creating automated pipeline tests, supporting code reviews, monitoring quality metrics, verifying releases, coordinating customer deliveries, and evaluating process compliance. The role supports software missions ranging from low Earth orbit to Mars and requires experience with software QA, test automation, CI/CD, documentation, Git, and process tailoring.

Lead propulsion system layout and component design for high-performance spacecraft from concept through product realization. Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings, perform fluid/thermal/structural analysis, support procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, and resolve technical issues across multidisciplinary teams.

Lead mission assurance and flight readiness activities across vehicle programs, assess and mitigate risks, drive root-cause investigations, advance configuration and change management, support certification and customer/government interfaces, and partner with multidisciplinary teams to improve vehicle reliability and operations.

Lead planning, execution, and analysis of tests for in-space mobility systems. Design, build, and commission test fixtures; execute and troubleshoot live test events; analyze data; collaborate with design, manufacturing, and operations to ensure performance, safety, and reliability; document results and manage multiple test campaigns.

Design, implement, and optimize hybrid datacenter and cloud infrastructure. Own core platforms (virtualization, identity, storage, cloud), build automation and infrastructure-as-code, improve reliability and scalability, troubleshoot complex incidents, ensure secure compliant configurations, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with security, network, and application teams.

Lead standardization and implementation of design processes across structures, propulsion, avionics, composites, and mechanisms. Define margining, configuration management, release workflows (CAD→PLM→MRP/ERP), review templates, and design-for-reliability practices. Create tools for traceability and use build/flight data to influence requirements. Drive quality, containment, corrective actions, and cross-functional problem solving with build, quality, and flight reliability teams.

Operate and develop liquid rocket propulsion test stands: perform test setup, inspections, troubleshooting, and data acquisition; design and build fluid, mechanical, and electrical systems; create and optimize test procedures; improve processes and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced aerospace test environment.
