Develop embedded software for custom avionics hardware supporting ground testing, manufacturing, and spacecraft flight functions. Responsibilities include implementing processor, peripheral, communication, and closed-loop control functions; writing test and development code for avionics, fluids, and propulsion systems; and producing rigorous, reviewed, tested flight and manufacturing software. The intern will collaborate with hardware, propulsion, and GNC engineers while working onsite in Redondo Beach.

Support spacecraft vehicle engineering projects involving primary structures, tanks, mechanisms, thermal systems, hardware design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing. Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to build and test spacecraft hardware, resolve technical issues, and contribute to clean-sheet spacecraft development. This is a 12-week, on-site internship in Redondo Beach, California.

Supports security monitoring, alert triage, vulnerability management, access reviews, endpoint and network control validation, policy compliance, documentation, security awareness, governance and risk assessments, and audit readiness. The intern works under supervision in a regulated aerospace and defense environment and contributes to NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance activities.

Support development of lithium-ion battery packs for spacecraft through electrical and structural analysis, battery test hardware development, qualification testing, PCB bring-up, battery assembly, CAD modeling, and collaboration with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams. This is a 12-week, on-site internship in Redondo Beach, California, with exposure to the full spacecraft development lifecycle.

Supports the mechanical design and development of precision optical hardware for spacecraft, including lens barrels, telescope structures, mounts, baffles, flexures, gimbals, and pointing mechanisms. Converts optical requirements into manufacturable, alignable designs and creates CAD models, drawings, tolerance analyses, GD&T, BOMs, interface documents, assembly procedures, and test fixtures. Collaborates with optical engineers through design, build, testing, and flight qualification.

Propulsion Engineering Intern will support spacecraft propulsion component and system development. Responsibilities include owning development tasks, collaborating with design, testing, and manufacturing teams, validating hardware performance, resolving technical issues, and producing hardware, analyses, and documentation. The 12-week, on-site internship requires hands-on experience with fluid or mechanical systems and foundational knowledge of fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanics, and materials. Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or Excel is preferred.

Supports guidance, navigation, and control analysis, testing, and flight operations for spacecraft. Responsibilities include developing simulation models, characterizing on-orbit GNC performance, testing real flight hardware, automating analysis and testing, and writing robust flight software. The intern collaborates with software and propulsion engineers while contributing to mission analysis and spacecraft development.

Design, manufacture, and test custom RF systems for spacecraft. Responsibilities include selecting RF components, running simulations and link budgets, creating validation plans, developing RF schematics and layouts, supporting manufacturing, and conducting bench testing and system bring-up. The intern will collaborate with RF, avionics, software, and mechanical engineers and use CST, HFSS, and ADS for RF front-end design.

Supports automated RF test development, laboratory bring-up, hardware integration, characterization, troubleshooting, and validation for spacecraft communication hardware. Develops Python-based test scripts, operates RF test equipment, analyzes performance data, documents verification procedures, and collaborates with RF, avionics, software, and manufacturing engineers. The 12-week internship is conducted onsite in Redondo Beach, California.

Supports spacecraft and liquid rocket propulsion assembly, integration, and testing. Responsibilities include designing test systems, inspecting and troubleshooting hardware, conducting test operations, creating documentation, developing tooling and fixturing, improving production processes, and resolving technical issues. The intern collaborates across engineering teams and performs hands-on work with mechanical, fluid, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
