Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for spacecraft production: supplier qualification and onboarding, RFQs and negotiations, sourcing strategies, BOM management in PLM/ERP, KPI/SLA definition, cost optimization, inventory oversight, logistics coordination, and compliance with AS9100 and ITAR.

Lead and grow a team designing, testing, and delivering spacecraft components (deployables, actuators, COPVs, solar modules, separation systems). Own roadmap, engineering processes, test campaigns, production ramp, and technical delivery across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.

Supervise test area and a team of ~10 technicians to run spacecraft component testing. Coordinate schedules and resources with engineering, maintain and troubleshoot test and shop equipment, calibrate instrumentation, verify and document flight hardware, drive root-cause for non-conformances, maintain process documentation, and support hiring and scaling of the test team. Must work shifts, lift 25+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Design and develop opto-mechanical hardware for spacecraft optical systems, including lens barrels, telescope structures, mounts, baffles, and precision mechanisms. Create CAD models, drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and test fixtures while collaborating with optical engineers to ensure alignment, stability, manufacturability, and qualification for launch and on-orbit environments.

Perform structural and thermal analysis and develop/maintain finite element models for optical flight hardware. Ensure optical alignment and survivability through launch, thermal, and vibration environments. Support STOP analysis with optical engineers to meet alignment sensitivity, detector tolerances, boresight stability, wavefront error, and pointing requirements.

Lead architecture and end-to-end modeling of free-space optical communications links. Build and maintain physics-based models (Python/MATLAB), perform trade studies on aperture, power, modulation, pointing, and atmospheric effects, quantify link margin and data rate, and translate results into requirements for optical, electrical, GNC, software, mechanical, and test teams.

Manage supplier quality by qualifying parts, auditing vendor processes, owning non-conformances (SDR/MRB/CAPA/RTV), driving corrective actions and continuous improvement, supporting containment and inspection, and collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, and Production to ensure reliable supplier performance.

Design, develop, and implement tooling, fixturing, and test/support equipment for metallic and composite spacecraft structures. Collaborate with designers, analysts, manufacturing, and supply chain to prototype and produce designs, support testing, and solve complex technical challenges with emphasis on speed.

Lead design, testing, and delivery of flight RF software for space missions. Implement RF software architectures, develop DSP and calibration algorithms, design RF control algorithms, bring up RF systems, and collaborate with ground software teams to test satellite-to-ground data pipelines.

Design, implement, and maintain test and automation software for data acquisition, hardware control, and user-facing GUIs. Collaborate with test operations through the full test lifecycle: design, integration, deployment, debugging, and support. Review and write code, work onsite, and deliver innovative solutions for testing operations.
