Performs varied electrical engineering assignments involving design, development, analysis, testing, specifications, field tasks, and technical problem resolution. Ensures compliance with engineering standards, independently applies technical methods, supports nuclear technology product lifecycles, and addresses customer and project technical issues. Requires collaboration, communication, safety awareness, informal leadership, and professional engineering judgment.

Supports project controls through cost analysis, scope control, earned value analysis, status reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow monitoring, and schedule tracking. Partners with project managers to identify financial and schedule risks and recommend resolutions. Reviews subcontractor invoices against purchase orders and contract terms, monitors invoicing milestones, and corrects timekeeping issues. Produces monthly project status reports and portfolio-level KPI reports while ensuring compliance with applicable project-control procedures.

Leads technical procurement for complex nuclear components, partnering with design engineering and suppliers to define specifications, evaluate and qualify vendors, resolve manufacturing issues, execute strategic sourcing and make-or-buy analyses, and mitigate supply chain risks. Ensures procurement activities meet quality, regulatory, ethical sourcing, and nuclear industry requirements while developing long-term supplier networks.

Performs independent mechanical engineering design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, specification preparation, field engineering, and problem resolution for nuclear energy technologies. Ensures compliance with engineering standards, supports product lifecycle improvements, resolves technical issues, and contributes to special projects. The role requires collaboration, technical judgment, safety awareness, and informal leadership, with expertise in design engineering, ECC processes, and applicable ASME and CSA standards.
