Leads EUCAN statutory and corporate financial reporting, including IFRS, local GAAP, and US GAAP reconciliations. Oversees audits, tax-support activities, SOX processes, entity profitability analysis, and outsourced accounting providers. Manages and develops an accounting team, presents financial performance to senior leadership, supports global finance stakeholders, and drives process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provides high-level executive and administrative support to the EUCAN Region Leader, including calendar management, global travel coordination, meeting and event planning, communications, information management, and project support. The role prepares presentations, agendas, plans, schedules, and trackers; manages budgets and stakeholders; supports digital communications; and improves operational efficiency through technology and data-informed processes.

Provides strategic legal counsel to global R&D teams on pharmaceutical and biotechnology research, clinical trials, clinical operations, data privacy, regulatory requirements, and complex contracting. Drafts and negotiates clinical trial, CRO, research, consulting, confidentiality, and data-use agreements; assesses legal risk; develops scalable templates and processes; advises on FDA, EMA, ICH Good Clinical Practice, and global privacy requirements; and trains cross-functional stakeholders.

Supports end-to-end sourcing and procurement for logistics and distribution, including RFI/RFQ/RFP events, supplier evaluation, contracting, purchase orders, onboarding, KPI tracking, spend analytics, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement. Partners with internal stakeholders, suppliers, Legal, Finance, and Trade Compliance while using procurement systems and analytics tools to identify savings and manage supplier performance.

Supports intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, SAP PaPM processing, reconciliations, month-end close, eliminations, business integration, and process stabilization. Executes billing, journal entries, allocations, settlements, true-ups, and balance clearing while resolving discrepancies and coordinating with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, AP, Order-to-Cash, IT, and SAP teams. Documents and tests processes, manages interim workarounds, strengthens controls, and transitions integration activities into sustainable recurring operations.

Leads U.S. controllership accounting changes related to business initiatives, strategic transactions, integrations, and transformation efforts. Bridges technical accounting and operations by implementing processes, controls, reporting requirements, and operational guidance. Drives process improvements, documentation, metrics, issue remediation, system implementations, account mapping, data validation, and post-implementation stabilization. Partners with Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders while evaluating automation and AI-enabled solutions.

Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under US GAAP, statutory reporting under IFRS and local GAAP, account reconciliations, accrual analysis, profitability reviews, audit coordination, tax support, SOX activities, and financial analysis. The role partners with finance, tax, FP&A, auditors, outsourced providers, and global accounting teams while supporting process improvements and ad hoc projects.

Provides high-level administrative support to the Chief People Officer and People Leadership Team. Responsibilities include executive calendar management, meeting and presentation coordination, minutes, vendor contracts and purchase orders, travel and expenses, IT requests, distribution groups, announcements, onboarding, and confidential employee information. Requires strong judgment, discretion, organization, communication, prioritization, and independent work with senior executives and vendors.

Leads manufacturing cost accounting for BioMarin’s Technical Operations Finance team, overseeing inventory costing, standard costs, COGS, overhead absorption, excess and obsolescence, reconciliations, audits, SOX controls, and intercompany eliminations. Supports period close, financial reporting, ERP improvement projects, manufacturing variance analysis, and process improvements. Collaborates across Finance and Operations, manages compliance with US GAAP, and coaches junior staff.

Leads end-to-end global product supply planning for complex biopharmaceutical products across internal sites, CMOs/CDMOs, distribution partners, and markets. Develops supply, inventory, risk, contingency, and lifecycle strategies while balancing service, cost, capacity, and resilience. Owns Rough-Cut Capacity Planning governance across the 0–36 month IBP horizon, including process design, SAP IBP requirements, analytics, training, change management, and stakeholder alignment. Operates as an expert individual contributor through influence rather than direct authority.
