Acquire and develop 10–12 commercial speculative fiction titles yearly. Solicit and evaluate submissions, cultivate agent/author relationships, edit manuscripts through multiple drafts, and manage each book from acquisition to publication while coordinating with design, production, marketing, and publicity teams and advocating for the book internally and externally.

Provide administrative and editorial support to senior editors at Del Rey, liaising with authors and agents, screening and editing manuscripts, drafting catalog/flap copy and fact sheets, running sales reports, researching comp titles and trends, and collaborating with publicity, marketing, sales, production, and design to support the publication process.

Lead and manage a global key account, ensuring service levels across multiple business lines. Coordinate change requests and projects, monitor volumes and reporting, handle client inquiries, drive issue resolution, manage invoicing and payments, oversee P&L and financial forecasting, and lead a local team of 9–12 members while coordinating with global teams.

Coordinate and support strategic customer programs and new business initiatives across Operations, Procurement, Trade, Finance, and suppliers. Track milestones, prepare reports and presentations, develop dashboards and KPIs, support forecasting, pricing, supplier onboarding, and continuous improvement to ensure successful program execution and growth.

Support monthly close with variance analysis and journal entries; produce regular sales and financial reporting; assist budgeting and rolling forecasts; collaborate with UK and US finance teams and stakeholders to deliver commercial analysis and improve processes.

Build and maintain backend microservices and APIs, lead technical work when Tech Lead is absent, design and optimize SQL databases, implement authentication/authorization (OAuth/Auth0), write automated tests, use Docker and Git, and help shape team strategy and architecture.

Provide administrative support to the Publicity team: organise meetings, process expenses, send books and press releases, liaise with press and authors, support launches and events including out-of-hours work.

Optimize and architect a high-performance C++ ad-serving engine: hunt microsecond latency, design distributed systems, fetch targeting data from NoSQL within tight latency budgets, define C++ best practices, and use Linux profiling/debugging tools to ensure reliable, low-latency production behavior.

Design, build, and operate scalable data platform components that process terabytes of TV and advertising data. Develop and optimize Spark-based data pipelines, deploy cloud-native services with Docker/Kubernetes on AWS, and lead test automation and TDD practices. Evaluate new frameworks and contribute to platform architecture and quality.

Own the lifecycle of data services: translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements, collaborate with data engineers, define test cases, use Git/Jenkins/monitoring to ensure system health, and drive prototypes to reliable, scalable production services.
