Own the full sales cycle for accounting and bookkeeping firm partners and their SMB clients across Canada. Responsibilities include prospecting, pipeline development, product demonstrations, closing high-velocity SaaS deals, partner onboarding, client adoption, Salesforce management, forecasting, event participation, and regular territory travel. The role collaborates with Customer Success, Marketing, and Partnerships to drive channel growth and exceed revenue targets.

Own and scale Plooto’s growth engine across accounting-channel demand generation, direct acquisition, self-serve growth, lifecycle marketing, and customer expansion. The role oversees CAC, payback, funnel conversion, attribution, CRO, channel strategy, experimentation, and AI-enabled marketing operations. It leads a lean team and partners with Sales, Product, Data, Finance, Marketing Operations, and Revenue Operations to increase pipeline, conversion, LTV, ARPU, and expansion revenue in a high-volume SMB fintech environment.

Own driver-based financial models for GTM and Product, forecast subscribers, TPV, and revenue, investigate performance drivers, and advise leadership on ROI and tradeoffs. Build live SQL and Databricks data pipelines connected to Excel, modernize FP&A infrastructure, integrate function-level models into the company plan, and communicate actionable analysis to executives, the board, and investors.

Lead Plooto’s commercial growth strategy across direct sales, accountant and bookkeeper distribution, strategic partnerships, and self-service. Build repeatable partner-led channels, strengthen sales execution, improve forecasting and unit economics, and develop Sales and Partnerships leaders. The role requires hands-on commercial leadership, cross-functional collaboration, market engagement, and executive-level communication in a high-volume, low-ACV SMB technology business.

Own customer experience insights and optimization across Plooto’s SaaS payments platform. Analyze customer contacts, churn, payment behavior, operational data, and satisfaction metrics to identify root causes of friction. Translate findings into prioritized recommendations, automation and AI opportunities, process improvements, and product investments. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Data, Finance, and GTM to reduce customer contact, churn, and cost-to-serve while improving payment transparency and customer outcomes.

Design and deliver scalable backend services using .NET and Azure, architect distributed event-driven systems, build reliable APIs, and improve performance and resilience. Lead technical initiatives from design through production, make architecture decisions, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate cross-functionally to turn ambiguous business needs into maintainable technical solutions.

Conduct outbound prospecting to accounting and bookkeeping firms across the US and Canada, qualify potential channel partners, and book high-quality meetings for Partnerships and Channel Sales. Maintain accurate Salesforce records, execute multichannel outreach, collaborate on messaging and target accounts, meet pipeline targets, and share market feedback to improve prospecting strategies.

Analyze and optimize payment-risk rules, thresholds, customer segments, and manual-review strategies. Use SQL, Python, experimentation, and decision-science techniques to reduce false positives, customer friction, operational workload, and payment losses. Investigate fraud patterns, build monitoring and reporting, evaluate risk changes, and provide practical recommendations while partnering with Risk Operations, Product, Engineering, and Data teams.

The Account Executive will manage the sales process for SMB prospects, converting inbound leads and conducting outbound outreach, while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining CRM accuracy.
