Provides supervised, hands-on experience supporting business customers in a transportation setting. The intern learns account management, shipment operations, customer communication, logistics workflows, performance indicators, service offerings, and technology-enabled order management. The role involves observing and practicing customer experience strategies while identifying solutions based on shipping patterns, capacity, pricing, seasonality, and customer needs.

Negotiates carrier rates, builds and maintains carrier relationships, secures freight coverage, monitors shipments, manages transportation records, and communicates service issues. Uses the Carrier360 platform to tender loads, verify carriers, track freight, improve visibility, and increase operational efficiency. The role also analyzes market trends, supports margin goals, and delivers timely customer and stakeholder updates while working across multiple shifts.
