Accounting Summer Interns gain exposure to reinsurance and corporate accounting through training, educational sessions, research, and individual projects. They learn accounting systems and processes, assist with accounting-related tasks, manage priorities and deadlines, and collaborate on team initiatives and a final capstone project. The hybrid role is primarily onsite in Morristown, New Jersey, and runs from June 2 through July 23, 2027.

Investigate, evaluate, document, and resolve low-complexity commercial first- and third-party insurance claims. Responsibilities include assessing coverage, liability, and damages; reviewing evidence; maintaining reserves; communicating with stakeholders; following regulatory requirements; and completing timely claim resolution actions.

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support software applications and technology solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical implementations, participate in code reviews and Agile delivery, troubleshoot issues across environments, document systems, and improve quality, scalability, reliability, security, automation, and modernization practices.

Designs and implements cloud, DevOps, and data engineering solutions; owns internal and vendor-sourced data; onboards data sources; improves ingestion, governance, controls, storage architecture, and ETL processes. The role also documents processes, collaborates with business and IT teams, manages ad hoc ingestion, and develops testing plans to ensure reliable, accurate data pipelines.

Leads enterprise business solutions strategy and transformation initiatives across underwriting, operations, IT, data, and analytics. Owns operational and technology roadmaps, defines business requirements, prioritizes improvements, and implements automation and analytics-enabled workflows. Serves as the connection between business and technology stakeholders, facilitates cross-functional problem-solving, and drives value creation through underwriting system development and process optimization.

Manage financial consolidation and reporting across Workday and OneStream. Administer OneStream access, accounts, structures, mappings, and reports; perform flux analysis and reconciliations; maintain accurate management reporting; improve automation and processes; support internal controls, risk remediation, documentation, special projects, and cross-functional issue resolution. Use AI-enabled tools to streamline reporting and variance analysis.

Executes manual and automated testing for web and client-side applications, develops and maintains automation frameworks, writes test scripts, and performs functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing. Collaborates with Agile product, development, and business teams to define test plans, validate features, identify defects, and improve testing processes. Leads scrum testing activities and mentors junior engineers. The role also requires SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT knowledge, and experience with CI and test management tools.

Collects, cleanses, validates, analyzes, and distributes catastrophe modeling exposure data and results. Processes property and casualty exposure schedules, identifies data-quality issues, prepares outputs for reinsurers and modeling platforms, maintains databases and reports, interprets exposure and loss trends, and improves catastrophe modeling workflows. Supports underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, and business decision-making through accurate reporting and stakeholder communication.

Monitor and maintain the operational health of infrastructure, applications, networks, and security services in a hybrid environment. The engineer triages incidents, manages tickets, communicates with stakeholders, supports major incident bridges, and escalates issues within SLA requirements. The role also improves monitoring, alert quality, runbooks, escalation procedures, and incident response through automation, observability, AIOps, and AI-enabled practices. Rotating shifts, off-hours support, and on-call participation are required.

Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into functional and technical specifications, recommend software solutions, optimize processes, coordinate testing, interpret data, maintain reports, support training, manage risks and compliance, and track project dependencies.
