Design, develop, and maintain high-reliability embedded software for spacecraft and ground systems. Implement secure communications, low-level drivers and kernel components, automated tests and validation tooling, participate in architecture and code reviews, troubleshoot cross-functional issues, and mentor junior engineers to improve system performance and reliability.

Provides cross-program technical authority for flight and ground software, setting architecture, standards, technical direction, and roadmap. Leads multidisciplinary Integrated Product Teams, coordinates engineering and supplier activities, manages dependencies and issues, supports readiness reviews, and ensures technical and programmatic requirements are met. The role requires strong hardware development expertise, project leadership, engineering judgment, and experience across the product lifecycle.

Designs and implements manual and automated test infrastructure for PCBs, subassemblies, and complete systems. Develops test procedures, fixtures, scripts, plans, cases, and reports; supports prototype bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Collaborates with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams on design validation and Design for Test feedback. The role requires laboratory testing, scripting, CAD experience, and strong hardware troubleshooting skills.

Own and improve infrastructure security across corporate, cloud, network, endpoint, and operational environments. Responsibilities include vulnerability and configuration management, SIEM and security monitoring, EDR/XDR, incident response, cloud security, infrastructure hardening, security automation, and support for Government of Canada regulated environments. The role coordinates with IT, Engineering, Operations, and external security providers to reduce risk, remediate vulnerabilities, improve detection, and maintain compliance evidence.

Develop and test embedded software for satellite onboard systems, payloads, IoT modules, and ground equipment. Responsibilities include Embedded Linux, firmware, drivers, documentation, code and design reviews, and collaboration with electrical, digital design, and operations teams. The intern will use C/C++, OpenEmbedded/Yocto, FreeRTOS, Git, and embedded development practices while contributing to system architecture and leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools.

Lead payload management and systems engineering for multi-supplier satellite missions. Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to define interfaces, requirements, CONOPS, test plans, and verification. Drive mission analysis, integration, risk mitigation, validation, and early operations planning while mentoring junior engineers.

Lead systems engineering for spacecraft and space-system programs: define architectures, translate mission requirements, manage interfaces and technical budgets, perform trade studies and risk analyses, drive verification and test campaigns, support integration/commissioning and operations, mentor engineers, and apply MBSE and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering workflows and deliver program technical products.

Support satellite and payload development by performing mission and system analyses, maintaining requirements and interface documentation, supporting payload integration, verification planning, testing, and operations readiness, coordinating cross-functional teams, and producing technical budgets and reports under senior engineer guidance.

Work on FPGA firmware for satellites and ground stations: maintain and extend FPGA code (SystemVerilog), design custom IP, add sensor/communication interface support (SPI, I2C, UART), and implement/test SDR and SDN control with high-speed interfaces like JESD204b, 10G Ethernet, and Aurora.
