Desired specialties include 2D and 3D character animation, rigging, concept art, character design, storyboarding, asset development, VFX, compositing, engine implementation, and custom pipeline tools. Develop and support proprietary Python tools and integrated toolsets for animation and game-development pipelines. Gather requirements, design and deploy solutions, troubleshoot tooling and source control issues, maintain systems across live projects, optimize creative workflows, and support artists using DCC software and Unreal Engine. Oversee daily operations of the Mauritius animation studio, support and develop staff, manage vendors, facilities, inventory, payroll coordination, local finances, payments, records, and office services. Serve as the liaison with US headquarters, resolve operational issues, support hiring setup, and represent the studio at local job fairs and events.
