Manages HR policies, compliance, administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, HRIS integrity, reporting, and HR team oversight. Partners with portfolio leadership on workforce strategy, compliance risks, talent initiatives, training, and complex employee matters. The role is hybrid, Monday through Friday, and may manage HR staff as the portfolio grows.

Support tax and accounting engagements under supervision by preparing and reviewing individual, business, and nonprofit tax returns, assisting audits, responding to tax authorities, and learning firm procedures while maintaining professional standards and client confidentiality.

Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, nonprofit, trust, estate and gift tax returns; handle complex multi-state and international issues; assist with tax planning, IRS audits, tax research, supervise staff, and meet client deadlines.

Provide administrative and client-service support to the tax team: collect and manage client tax documents, maintain records in CCH Axcess, communicate with clients, assemble and deliver tax returns, perform scanning/redaction, manage office operations, and support workflow to meet deadlines.

Lead and manage the tax practice, oversee preparation and review of complex individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and exempt organization returns, handle multi-state and international reporting, assist with tax audits and planning, maintain client relationships, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with tax laws.

Support audit and accounting engagements under supervision. Perform substantive testing, document internal controls, assist with financial statements, apply GAAP/FASB/AICPA guidance, prepare client requests, and develop audit preparation skills while shadowing senior staff.

Assist in preparing federal and state tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax vouchers; organize financial data into tax software; prepare workpapers and support schedules; review and update return drafts; track return progress; participate in team meetings and training; shadow staff and maintain professional standards and client confidentiality.

Support day-to-day HR operations across assigned portfolios, handling employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS data, compliance, leave administration, recruiting coordination, payroll/benefits support, and process improvements to ensure consistent, defensible HR workflows and positive employee experience.
