Writes and submits approximately 3–4 grant applications monthly, researches and prioritizes funders, develops outcome-focused narratives, maintains the grants calendar, tracks awards and reporting deadlines, and collaborates with program leaders and development staff. The role is primarily remote with periodic on-site meetings and supports program, general operations, and capital campaign funding.

Manage daily accounting operations, month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and compliance. Supervise accounting staff, review accounts payable and payment processing, guide expense coding, and support process improvement initiatives. Manage the organization’s full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, aging, reconciliations, expense reporting, and cash planning. Support month-end close, accruals, limited accounts receivable, 1099 reporting, audits, government contract compliance, and internal controls. Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with departments across the nonprofit.

Develops and executes digital storytelling strategy for San Diego Rescue Mission. Produces short-form videos from concept through publication, including filming, interviewing, editing, color correction, captioning, and platform optimization. Creates content for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, events, campaigns, and fundraising. Uses analytics to improve performance, maintains media assets, and ensures ethical storytelling that respects the dignity and privacy of vulnerable populations.
