The Business Operations Manager drives business, operational, staffing, financial, technology, and process initiatives for Rocket Lab’s Space Systems Software organization and Denver site. Responsibilities include partnering with senior leadership on strategy, KPIs, financial performance, reporting, communications, process improvement, IT, contracts, facilities, security, hiring, and project management. The role also develops scalable solutions and uses AI to improve operational excellence.

Architect and deploy distributed simulation environments for aerospace systems and constellation-level modeling. Build data pipelines to process, analyze, and visualize large simulation datasets; derive engineering and mission insights through statistical analysis and data modeling; optimize HPC and cluster infrastructure; translate mission requirements into scalable architectures; and integrate complex simulation ecosystems across subsystems and analytical tools.

Leads the technical execution of complex aerospace robotic systems, owning architecture, requirements, interfaces, hardware-software integration, verification, validation, and delivery. Leads vehicle integration engineering for the Neutron launch vehicle, including assembly and integration planning, work-cell scheduling, resource coordination, tooling readiness, integrated systems testing, documentation, configuration management, and quality-system changes. Supervises and mentors engineers, coordinates with technicians and multidisciplinary engineering teams, develops work instructions and test procedures, and delivers integrated vehicle modules to the integration facility and launch pad.

The Marine Engineer will design and develop recovery assets for the Neutron Recovery program, ensuring successful implementation for testing and flight operations. This includes leadership in technical design and collaboration with engineering teams.

Operate Electron and Neutron ground systems during testing, rehearsals, and launches. Support launch pad infrastructure, ground support equipment, facility systems, commissioning, readiness checks, configuration verification, and troubleshooting. Develop operational procedures, test plans, and emergency response protocols; improve ground-control HMIs; monitor real-time data and support critical go/no-go decisions during hazardous launch operations.

Lead strategic sourcing for technical and engineering roles in aerospace manufacturing. Develop search strategies, engage passive candidates, build talent pipelines, screen candidates, provide market intelligence, collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers, support diversity sourcing and recruitment marketing, and track sourcing metrics. This six-month onsite role in Long Beach may convert to full-time employment.

Performs hands-on payload integration for Electron and HASTE launch vehicles, including fit checks, dispenser integration, testing, and assembly instructions. Supports launch-site planning, customer coordination, technical presentations, and interface control documentation. Collaborates with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to resolve spacecraft integration requirements and technical challenges. The role is based in Long Beach, California, and requires frequent worldwide travel to customer facilities and launch sites.

Design, train, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and pipelines for EO/IR image processing and computer vision applications. Build deep learning systems for object detection, segmentation, tracking, and video analysis; collaborate with AI and engineering teams; prototype solutions, troubleshoot systems, and evaluate emerging ML techniques for operational space systems.

Develop, train, validate, deploy, and maintain deep learning models and machine learning pipelines for electro-optical and infrared image processing. Responsibilities include data ingestion, feature engineering, computer vision, rapid prototyping, operational system integration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with AI and engineering teams. The role supports defense and intelligence space programs and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
