CNA is seeking an experienced Financial Analysis Consultant to join the Specialty FP&A Team in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities include leveraging financial expertise, influencing decision-makers, preparing business cases, developing forecast models, driving process improvement, leading special projects, and coaching less experienced analysts.

Individual contributor responsible for managing, developing, analyzing, and monitoring a book of business of the highest complexity in underwriting specialty. Works closely with senior management on underwriting risks, pricing, policy development, and strategy implementation. Markets products/services, maintains key customer relationships, and stays current on industry trends. Mentors and guides less experienced underwriters and leads special projects and presentations.

Support the Investor Relations and Rating Agencies team by managing relationships with rating agencies, providing capital adequacy insights, facilitating engagement with the investor community, and delivering competitor intelligence. Develop analyses and presentations for senior and executive management discussions, support relationships with rating agencies, and evaluate potential corporate initiatives. Interact with business partners and stakeholders as needed.

Provide administrative supervision to legal support staff and support a managing attorney. Lead, coach, and mentor work groups. Participate in special projects and prepare management reports. Requires a Bachelor's degree with paralegal certification and 4 years of related experience.

Responsible for underwriting risks in a Surety book of business, determining pricing, preparing quotes, and maintaining agency relationships. Requires advanced knowledge of underwriting and insurance industry practices, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
