Responsible for underwriting risk for the underwriting lifecycle from submission through policy issuance, handling underwriting analysis, documentation, endorsement requests, renewal book, and acting as a liaison within the branch or across CNA. Also involves executing pricing strategies, negotiating with external partners, marketing products and services, and staying updated on industry trends and regulations. Reports to a Supervisor or Manager.

Responsible for underwriting risks in a book of business within specific limits of authority. Prepares quotes, analyzes risks, and maintains broker relationships. Requires advanced knowledge of underwriting practices and strong leadership skills.

CNA is offering a 10-week Actuarial Summer Internship Program in summer 2025, providing hands-on Actuarial experience and unique opportunities in the Insurance industry. Interns will work on practical Actuarial assignments in Pricing, Reserving, or Long Term Care. The program includes learning sessions, professional development activities, specialized training, and social networking events. Candidates must be at least a sophomore pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a GPA of 3.25 or higher preferred. Must have an interest in the Insurance Industry and pursuing an Actuarial career post-graduation.
