The Polysomnography Technologist monitors a patient's sleep for diagnostic testing of sleep related disorders, performs therapeutic procedures, communicates with patients and families, and maintains equipment. They also assist with training, consultation, and community service related to sleep disorders.

Monitor Technician responsible for monitoring and interpreting electrocardiograph tracings of patients on telemetry monitors, recognizing and reporting arrhythmias to medical staff. Operates complex cardiac monitoring systems, maintains equipment, and records patient's cardiac monitoring status. Enrolled in educational program for Cardiac Rhythm Test. Requires knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart, telemetry services, communication skills, and ability to work cooperatively in healthcare delivery team.
