Leads corporate governance and legal entity integration for acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions from due diligence through steady-state ownership. Serves as Canadian Data Protection Officer, advises on product launches, privacy-by-design, data use, consent, cross-border transfers, impact assessments, contracts, regulatory readiness, and remediation. Monitors Canadian, U.S., and global developments and translates requirements into practical business guidance, controls, training, and stakeholder communications.

Lead global regulatory strategy and execution for technology infrastructure, operational resilience, and enterprise resilience. Leads Mastercard’s government affairs and public policy strategy across Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Develops advocacy initiatives, engages regulators and government stakeholders, advises leadership on policy risks and opportunities, and advances positions on payments regulation, digital commerce, cybersecurity, data governance, competition, and financial inclusion. Manages the North Division Government Affairs and Policy team and coordinates with legal, communications, product, public sector, and regional teams.

Lead global legal support for stablecoin-enabled payment and money-movement solutions. Advise on regulatory, commercial, product, and risk matters; negotiate agreements with financial institutions, fintechs, digital asset providers, and strategic partners; monitor legal developments; develop scalable legal frameworks and playbooks; coordinate with internal specialists and external counsel; and support multi-jurisdictional launches.

Performs end-to-end contract services, including triage, preparation, review, drafting, negotiation, revision, and execution of routine vendor and commercial agreements. Ensures contracts comply with laws, regulations, policies, and approved playbooks while partnering with business and legal stakeholders. Provides customer-focused service, manages varying priorities, escalates issues appropriately, and identifies process improvements within established service-level objectives.

Leads Mastercard Brazil’s regulatory agenda, advising leadership on financial regulations, product reviews, regulatory risk, approvals, and compliance implementation. Manages the relationship with Brazil’s Central Bank, including formal responses and authorization requests. Develops regulatory advocacy strategies, represents Mastercard with industry groups and public forums, and coordinates complex matters with internal teams and external counsel. Also provides technical guidance and develops junior lawyers.
