Own Wise’s expansion in Colombia by managing licensing, regulatory relationships, banking partnerships, and local operations. The role develops market and product opportunities, translates regulations into product requirements, negotiates financial institution agreements, improves transactional banking relationships, and represents Wise locally. It requires strong knowledge of Colombian payments, FX, financial regulation, AML/KYC, licensing frameworks, and regulator decision-making, plus fluency in Spanish and English.

Manage arbitration and high-tier complaint cases for Japan and APAC, investigating evidence, preparing bilingual Japanese-English submissions, and handling legally binding decisions. Monitor regulatory frameworks, communicate with arbitration bodies and regulators, meet strict deadlines, and collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Product teams. Analyze complaint trends, support root-cause investigations, improve policies and workflows, mitigate reputational risk, and maintain strong financial crime and data-security knowledge.

Senior Legal Counsel leading commercial disputes, litigation, arbitrations, regulatory matters, IP and competition issues across the UK, Europe and globally. The role advises senior stakeholders, manages legal and operational teams, assesses business risks, and provides pragmatic guidance on financial regulations, sanctions, AML, fraud, banking arrangements, products, partnerships and employment matters.

Owns global product compliance strategy for payment processing, customer eligibility, identity verification, regulatory obligation mapping, and multi-licence operations. Translates complex regulatory requirements into scalable product and engineering decisions, partners with legal, product, engineering, and compliance teams, represents compliance positions to regulators and auditors, and strengthens assurance frameworks across Wise’s markets and payment schemes.

Provide broad in-house legal support for North America: advise on payments, banking, consumer regulation, contracts, product launches, partnerships, licensing, and corporate matters; draft and negotiate agreements; manage legal risk and templates; collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor colleagues.

Lead regulatory product compliance and risk for Latin America: advise product teams on design and controls, perform pre-launch and ongoing regulatory analysis and risk assessments, manage control environment, audit and remediation, and represent Wise with banking partners and regulators.

Lead design and implementation of customer-centric financial crime controls for UK products. Advise product and operations teams on UK regulatory requirements, conduct risk assessments, monitor control effectiveness using data, and work with MLRO and audit to remediate issues. Drive control enhancements to scale with products while balancing compliance and customer experience.

Manage and build global compliance frameworks for anti-bribery & corruption, gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, third-party due diligence, registers, investigations, and consumer protection. Lead EWRA and governance reporting, partner with regional compliance teams, drive automation of compliance processes, and deliver ethics and compliance training and MI to senior stakeholders.
