Interprets regulations, assesses legal risk, supports business initiatives, and collaborates with legal, compliance, risk, business, and technology teams. Requires clear communication, sound judgment, regulatory awareness, and the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-experts.

Provide legal counsel and subject-matter expertise for Commercial Real Estate Agency Finance (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD). Advise transaction, asset management, and servicing teams; draft and negotiate documentation; manage outside counsel; develop policies, negotiation guidelines and training; partner with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and internal business partners on regulatory and process matters.

The Compliance Advisor ensures compliance with laws and regulations, providing guidance and support on risk management, controls, and training. Responsibilities include reviewing business controls, advising on compliance requirements, and maintaining expertise in Philippine laws.

Provide legal counsel to the Premium Products & Experiences team for Capital One Travel. Advise on travel industry, consumer financial and marketing legal risks; review and negotiate third-party contracts; translate legal requirements for business teams; collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Compliance, Business Risk, Corporate Communications, and Card teams to develop solutions and enable product initiatives.

Counsel on patent and broader intellectual property strategy for AI, software, and data-driven innovations. Draft and prosecute patent applications, lead invention harvesting, manage patent portfolios and outside counsel, and advise technical teams and business leaders. Provide practical guidance on trade secrets, copyright, licensing, open source, partnerships, acquisitions, litigation, and third-party risk. Develop IP education, integrate AI tools into workflows, and align patent strategy with product development and business goals.
