Provides legal and regulatory counsel for Remitly’s payments expansion across Latin America, with emphasis on Mexico. Responsibilities include licensing and authorization processes, regulatory feasibility assessments, product and market-entry advice, payment agreement negotiation, regulator engagement, regulatory change monitoring, and management of external counsel. The role partners with business, product, compliance, finance, and government relations teams while advising on Mexican and regional payments regulations.

The Senior Product Compliance Manager oversees compliance for Remitly's Consumer Financial Services, advising on product launches and managing bank partnerships while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Investigate transaction-monitoring alerts for AML, draft and file suspicious activity reports, monitor regulatory developments, update SOPs, mentor junior staff, identify program gaps and support remediation and compliance projects.

Provide legal support for Remitly's MEAPAC expansion: licensing, regulatory advice, payment agreement negotiation, product structuring, regulator engagement, external counsel management, and cross-functional legal projects.
