Provide premium technical support to sophisticated customers experiencing network and application attacks. Analyze traffic signatures, packet captures, protocols, and malicious activity across OSI Layers 3, 4, and 7. Advise on and apply DDoS, firewall, WAF, rate-limiting, blocklisting, and allowlisting mitigations using Cloudflare products. Troubleshoot networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP, BGP, and GRE issues while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to improve security tools.

Monitor and investigate security alerts, identify attacks, analyze traffic signatures, and recommend or implement mitigation strategies across OSI Layers 3, 4, and 7. The role supports sophisticated customers through chat, email, and phone; manages monitoring rules and incident tickets; produces attack reports; and collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to improve security tools. Weekend, holiday, and rotating 24/7 coverage is required.

Lead Cloudflare through the CCCS CSP ITS assessment, maintain CCCS requirements in the common control framework, drive cross-functional security control implementation, improve security compliance maturity, shape security policy and governance, and work with auditors and regulators. Occasional travel required.

Deliver post-sales advisory and hands-on implementation for application security and performance. Gather requirements, produce designs (HLD/LLD), build and migrate solutions, configure Cloudflare products, troubleshoot escalations, collaborate with support and engineering, and create operational assets, documentation, scripts, and automation to enable customer adoption and smooth transitions.

Design, build, and operate secure, resilient distributed systems for secrets and key management across Cloudflare's global network. Re-architect and strengthen internal PKI and machine/workload identity, support and run services (including on-call), and consult with teams to ensure secure system design and usage.

Design, build, run, and scale distributed tools and data pipelines to support threat disruption and platform abuse efforts. Translate legal and security requirements into scalable services, improve system architecture, monitor production (on-call), collaborate with Threat Intelligence, Legal and Product teams, and mentor other developers to promote testing and best practices.

Provide advanced technical support and advisory to enterprise customers on network security and performance (OSI layers 3,4,7). Troubleshoot DDoS, BGP, GRE, SSL/TLS, firewall/WAF, and hosting issues; perform packet analysis; create docs and KB articles; collaborate with engineering; and use automation and generative AI to accelerate incident response.

Build, deploy, and operate Network Firewall and related security capabilities across Cloudflare's edge network. Design and implement high-performance, low-latency packet processing, networking features (L2-L4), RESTful APIs, and distributed data pipelines. Optimize throughput and latency, debug and profile systems, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable network security products.

Design, build, and operate high-throughput, low-latency authentication and authorization services. Evolve IAM systems to distributed, edge-capable architectures; define robust APIs; ensure reliability, observability, and security; conduct reviews and design docs; and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while owning production reliability.

Respond to security incidents across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Perform active edge mitigation (WAF rules, L3/L4 shunning), full incident response lifecycle (investigation, containment, remediation, recovery), and coordinate with customers and internal teams to detect, isolate, and remediate sophisticated attacks.
