Build and maintain data pipelines, ingestion workflows, transformations, and data products using Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms. Test and troubleshoot systems while applying Git, software testing, and CI/CD practices. Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, use AI-assisted tools, and deliver reliable data solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.

Design, build, and lead scalable data platforms, pipelines, data products, and ELT/ETL processes supporting analytics and AI/ML workloads. Establish standards for data quality, testing, monitoring, observability, CI/CD, security, and reliability. Own projects through deployment and production support, collaborate across technical and business teams, use AI-assisted engineering tools, and mentor data engineers.

Analyze manufacturing and spacecraft telemetry to identify anomalies, test failures, and degradation patterns. Build predictive models, SQL queries, operational dashboards, statistical process controls, and visualizations using Python and related tools. Document reproducible analyses in Jupyter notebooks and communicate findings to engineering, manufacturing, and mission operations teams. This is a three-month temporary, potentially convertible role supporting hardware production and spacecraft operations.

As a Data and Control Systems Engineer, you will design, build, and integrate data systems for testing rocket components, work closely with technicians, and collaborate with operations and software teams to automate hardware control.

Lead architecture and reliability of the data platform, build and harden ingestion (batch and CDC), own BigQuery+dbt transformations, establish testing/observability/governance, mentor engineers, develop Python tooling and APIs, run POCs for lakehouse/open table formats, and define AI-assisted development practices.

Design, build, and operate instrumentation, DAQ, and automated test control systems for spacecraft testing. Develop test automation (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB), commission and calibrate sensors, troubleshoot hardware/software integration, perform post-test data analysis, and maintain data management and requirements traceability in hazardous test environments.

Design, build, and maintain core data platforms, services, and APIs that enable operational data access. Develop scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and automation; collaborate across teams; own services end-to-end from architecture through production support.
